Dr. Elisabeth Sewell
Originally established in 1989, Springville Family Dental Center has been a staple in the Springville community for decades. In 2025, Dr. Elisabeth Sewell, became the new owner of the practice with a fresh perspective and a strong commitment to preserving the hometown feel patients have come to know and love. Dr. Sewell serves patients of all ages and backgrounds. At our office, you will find a relaxed atmosphere and a team who truly cares. Dr. Sewell spends time with each patient to ensure a personalized and complete dental plan is uniquely tailored to each patient based on their individual needs and desires. Here at Springville Family Dental Center our mission is to provide personalized, complete and comfortable dentistry for each patient.
Dr. Elisabeth Sewell received her undergraduate degree from Auburn University. Dr. Sewell then went on to receive her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Following dental school, Dr. Sewell completed a residency program for Advanced Education in General Dentistry at the highly regarded Foundry Dental Center in Birmingham, Alabama. During her residency, Dr. Sewell received advanced training in comprehensive implant dentistry, bone grafting, oral surgery and complex full mouth-rehabilitation. This unique training experience has prepared her to offer an expanded range of dental treatments prioritizing quality, comfort, and long term results. Dr. Sewell is excited to be able to offer comprehensive dental care – from routine cleanings and preventative services to implants and surgical treatments – all under one roof.
Dr. Sewell’s personal life is devoted to her husband and their new yellow Labrador puppy, Luna. They enjoy the outdoors – hunting, fishing and hiking whenever they can. She is also an avid gardener in her spare time.
Dr. David C. Hufham
Dr. Hufham has been practicing orthodontics in Birmingham for over 24 years, and in the Springville area since 2003. He is a graduate of The University of Alabama and The University of Alabama School of Dentistry. He completed his specialty training in Orthodontics at The University of Pennsylvania. A 3 rd generation dentist and 2 nd generation Orthodontist, his father was an Orthodontist in Dothan, AL for over 25 years. Dr. Hufham and his wife Joanna have 3 grown children, Anna, James, and Henry.
When away from the office, he enjoys playing tennis, traveling, and wildlife management on his farm in Hale County, AL.
